And, then, one day YOU made a choice to change<\/p>\n

YOU started to attend therapy sessions,<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
Started to look for a place to anchor<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
Your faith, your long imprisoned talents,<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
I knew then that I was fighting a losing battle\u2026.<\/p>\n

To my \u2018You are not good enough\u2019<\/p>\n

YOU soon learnt the truth<\/p>\n

YOU are good enough-<\/p>\n

Good enough to be called<\/p>\n

A caring friend, a helpful neighbour<\/p>\n

A good human being\u2026.<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
The day you turned around and told me<\/p>\n

There would be the rain\u2026<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
But the important thing was to focus on the rainbow,<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
You had discovered the truth-<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
YOU had been put on earth for a purpose<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
YOU looked upward to renew your faith<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
YOU looked sideward to connect with old friends<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
YOU looked outward for a new hobby, a new job<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
YOU looked downward to encourage someone still in the depths of despair<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
YOU looked inward to find the real YOU.<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
I knew then you were on your road to recovery-<\/p>\n

to having good mental health\u2026<\/p>\n

And, I knew that I couldn\u2019t feed off you anymore\u2026<\/p>\n
